Winnie 的7月24日行程記錄...

July 17, 2005 Sunday

The weather is sunny and warm with a light breeze. We venture out of our local neighborhood this time. We are gathering at the Sky Train “Terminal / Main Street” Station at 8:30 a.m. We urged those with Monthly Tickets to take the Transit route. Tony is picking up the rest at our usual meeting place, Hastings & Renfrew at 8:15 a.m. There are 10 people turn up today.

We start walking towards the Seawall around Science World. We saw a guy having trouble balancing when getting into his kayak. He didn’t have a life jacket on either. A big group of younger athletes are warming up before entering 3 dragon boats. They are practicing very hard.

Then, we are strolling towards the west along the bike / roller trail. The landscaping is gorgeous. The scenery is also splendid. We come across the Charter Boats, Granville Bridge, B.C. Place, G.M. Place, etc. The majority of the group are surprised to find out, for the first time, that such a good route exist right next to Chinatown, which they visit all the time.

We are going to have a special / different route every month. All suggestions are welcome. Presently, Tony’s car can take 5 passengers. Ling’s van can take 7. Any one else?
